Well, Sheriff Cobb was actually an Army Major so majors make around $108,000/year. U.S. Marshals with 15 or so years on make around $89,000/year. Fictionally somewhere around there if I had to guess.

Well, it seems like nobody paid for anything in the town. Cafe Diem was free, living in Sarah was free, Zoe got a full ride to Havard (which never happens), so whatever he made was probably put into some kind of investment.
