Why Anna Faris and Regina Hall passed?
I guess it was a good thing that Anna Faris and Regina Hall passed on the film since the movie was bad. However why is that they didn't return.
shareI was dubious about Scary Movie 3 as two of the four main cast - The Wayans Brothers (Ray and Shorty) - were missing.
However, Scary movie 3 is my joint-favourite with number 2.
I love all 4 of therem (although SM4 was notably the least funny of the 4), but in my opinion, they made a HUGE mistake trying to make a sequel without Cindy and Brenda.
I'm actually angry this movie was made. It sucks so bad it's an insult to the "Scary Movie" series. It never should have been made.
"A Haunted House" (written by the Wayans brothers who wrote the first 2 Scary Movies) also came out this year and was a MUCH superior movie. They probably should have added in Regina Hall as Brenda and Anna Farris as Cindy, maybe spoofed a few more movies, and they would have themselves a damn decent sequel.
As for Regina and Anna declining to be in Scary Movie 5...can you blame them? They probably smelled this stinker a mile off.

IMO maybe you could not get past the fact that they were missing. If you view this as never having seen the first 4 you would probably think it was funny.
Let's face it none of the Scary Movies are Oscar quality films. share
I think the writers presumed Anna & Regina would come back, Jody and Kendra are clearly re-written versions of Cindy and Brenda. As much as I don't want another sequel with Ashley Tisdale, I think it's time Anna & Regina to moved on.
