Mary Steenburgen has always,always been a favorite of mine and has only grown lovelier and more talented.
shareI really liked this movie, and I don't think it should be called a romcom - similar, but in a different class - but as much as I enjoyed all aspects of the film (dialogue, direction, and especially the acting by the leads,) Mary Steenburgen stole this!
When that waiter comes over, I cracked up - biggest laugh of the movie! That whole scene was brilliant on her part ("I love you...")
From the moment she is introduced, until the last scene she is in, she plays her part - with all its different facets - perfectly!

Yeah, I thought Mary Steenburgen was funny, sexy, and later humorously compulsively obsessive in her role as doctor.
