Not that I've seen the movie, or that I'm particularly good at Japanese, but I think that's a better translation that "Even so, I didn't do it." as IMDb has it listed as.

Thanks, President Evil. In the grand tradition of Western democracy, holding an opinion on something you know very little about.

A series of test were done on various titles and it was felt, "I Just Didn't Do It" was a more concise and pithy title than the rather stilted "Even So, I Didn't Do It" which preserves the feeling of a direct translation.

"Even so, I haven't done it" would be the very literal English translation of the Japanese title. I agree this doesn't quite work as a movie title and thus the film's official international title was adjusted to "I just didn't do it" which is a good compromise I think. Some have also suggested the title "I still didn't do it" and that works for me as well.

"Soredemo" is a bit "katai"/formal sounding, so I don't feel that "I just didn't do it" (which sounds a bit casual) is appropriate. "Even still," or simply "Still," are probably the best translations for "soredemo."

"Still, I didn't do it"/"I still didn't do it" or "Even still/Even so, I didn't do it" are the best English equivalents of "Soredemo, boku ha(wa) yattenai."
