Just rewatched. Didn't really enjoy it.

Now I kinda wish I hadn't paid to add this to my vudu lol.

Funny., I remember liking it okay when I saw it in 2012 at the theater. But upon rewatching today I found it kindof dull, predictable, tropish, and sometimes cheesy. (like the final 'showdown' in classic hollywood style)

I'm more surprised at my own reaction than anything else. Because it makes me wonder why I liked it in 2012. It may be because at that time I didn't know who reacher was and had never heard of the books, but in the years since I have started reading the books so maybe my impression from the books affecting this re-viewing? I dunno.

But it really wasn't that interesting to me this time. Felt formulaic, commercial.


And I do think that Cruise is one big reason the movie is not as good as it could be.
