I believe this might be based on the man who could access the Akashic record . Universal knowledge of all things . The man claimed he could meditate and the numbers would come out scrolled across a wall in his mind . He had no education in complicated mathmatics and he could solve elaborate equations well above his intelligence school learning.
shareI just saw the trailer, this movie looks like typical bio-pic tripe. This looks like a film where the script keeps beating people over the head "oh he's a genius, he's a rebel, he doesn't do things the way the establishment wants it." Good grief.
I doubt I will walk away from the film with a good understanding of Ramanujam's work or contributions.
There's plenty of free and interesting info on him on YouTube (and plenty of other places online) if you're interested
