Thanksgiving Dinner...

For the first time a Dinner was presented the I and my S.O. would actually eat. Of course there was on offsetting thing. MATT had to act like a spoiled brat and sit alone at the table rather then interact with their guests. Allegedly his excuse was to get things moving. We believe that he was not the center of attention and his ego could not handle that.

I did like Amy's reaction: "Oh Matt just shove it up your........."

He was bring an ass. He made how many comments that Amy could never do anything on time. He said she did it their whole marriage. It was meant as a jab at her. 'I will sit here and stare her down until dinner is served'.

He really is an ass considering it was the kids who planned and prepared the dinner. Yes, Amy helped when needed, but it was the kids doing the work. The kids changed not only their own plans, but their in laws plans as well, so he wouldn't be alone for Thanksgiving and then he was an *beep* about it.

No surprise to me that Jeremy and Audrey spent Christmas alone. Her blog says they were at the farm for some events in December, but they chose to spend the actual holiday alone in Bend.

maya-912-366050: Your comments are spot on. A self-centered childish ASS at that. It was the 'kids' show and they did the heavy lifting with AMY just giving a hand when needed as you pointed out.

Unless MATT is the center of attention He is in automatic whine mode. I have seen 5 year olds with more self control. No wonder AUDREY and JEREMY spent Christmas together alone, one bad experience on the Holidays is one too many.

Completely agree. A few points I'd like to make about the Thanksgiving dinner:

1. Every year that I've been blessed to have a Thanksgiving meal, it's never been served "on time," whether I've hosted, or someone else has. You can guesstimate, and that's about as good as it gets. In fact, most people's aren't on time either, simply because there's usually so many people and so many different dishes that have to be cooked/prepared and ready. That's life. Matt (or anyone else, for that matter) would not starve if dinner were served a little late.

2. Considering he didn't lift a finger to do anything, IMO he had no right to complain about anything. Too much time, energy, and money goes into Thanksgiving meals. Matt was draining the fun out of it all, and Amy was just trying to enjoy her kids and the other folks she had over.

3. I wonder what the rush was to get things moving along? Typically holidays are a time to enjoy moments like those, not rush through them when you don't have to.

Oh he did lift a finger. He donated the foil for the turkey  Of course he had to make a jab at Zachary about borrowing it 'of course now you are here for the cup of flour and....' Did he volunteer to bring anything for dinner? Did he bring some wine? Did he get into the kitchen to help speed things up when he thought they were slow? Nope.

He made such a big deal of missing the kids on the holiday. And the next episode of spending time with Molly. Molly was there, she arrived before he did, and yet he was pouting instead of spending time with her.

deidrab: Good points, the only Person I know that gets everything done on time is Me and that is no idle boast. Then again with over forty years of experience by now I should have weeded out the commonly made mistakes.

MATT never lifts a finger. He is very good at giving orders, but carrying them out He always falls short. We know about His physical shortcoming, but that also makes it imperative that He not be a hindrance to those who can. Sitting there with a pouty face just emphasized what a poor sport and immature He really is.

Why didn't Matt get off his a** and socialize? They had both Jeremy and Zach's in-laws for dinner, Molly was there, why didn't he go talk, have a drink, instead of sitting like a bump on a log waiting to be served? Typical Matt, he made it all about him, he really is a jerk..

"Life is like a banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death."

weemidge: MATT seems to believe that being a 'jerk' is some sort of virtue.

Hi xerses13! Been a while. Yes, Matt was acting like an ass. That was so obvious his way of creating drama and getting a stab in on Amy when she wasn't even in charge of the dinner. He was lucky to even be invited...

Staged or not , it sure made Matt look like an ass.

Mort11: Hello also, see more drama coming. To sell the Farm or not.

reply

Yea watch Jeremy and Zach have a stroke when they might have to get a get a life.

reply

Yes xerxes, but we all know that is never going to happen. So yes, it will be strictly for the drama...
