I didn't realize they were so extremely religious until recently. 2006+ presented them as a normal family with religious beliefs. Not people that seemed bigoted even though they, thsemselves are a minority. Funny how that works. "Jer&Auj" (aka his spray-tanned red-headed, masculine woman) seem to have a LOT of advice coming from people that haven't made it past 10yrs married. Preach to people then, Spray-Tan-Tacular and Man-Bun-Boob. :)
shareThe difference is social media. Back when the show started, we only knew them from the show. Like the duggars, tic limits how much religion is on the show. They allow them to show and talk about some beliefs but don't allow their more preachy views. They don't want to alienate, insult, drive away viewers. All of the anti gay and preachy stuff we have seen of both families has been outside their shows, on social media.
As for their advice.....they aren't just getting advice from people married less than ten years. There tryong yo give advice, other marriage counselling, in how to stay married. They are such experts, married a whole two years.
