Question About Wolfman Intelligence

Serious question here...

Do the wolves have intelligence or not? At times, it seemed like they
are completely unaware and kill who/whatever is in their way even
though they don't want to kill in their human state. Other times, they
(the wolves) actually go after specific people, such as the battle
scene at the end. What's up with that?

Best way I can put it...yes they do, however in spite of their intelligence they are also running on high adrenaline levels, which makes them act more primal. Think of it as a smart person in a fist fight, their IQ doesn't drop, but the anger and adrenaline kinda takes over.
