Got a huge mansion, can't dust up a bit?

I'm amazed at the size of the mansion in this movie, yet it's dusty. No one seems to work, can't walk around with a wet rag and tidy up a bit. That was the real horror in this film! :-)

It was so dark in the house the place would have been much nicer with a few skylights to bring the sunlight in there. I bet when the housing bubble in the 1800s burst, this place was on the market for years. Universally accepted and know by all good realtors location means everything. A foolish idea to build such a big place out in the middle of nowhere and without even a sidewalk or access to jobs, good schools or shopping. I can only imagine the terrible shape the bathrooms and the kitchen was since they didn't show it. :-)

Obviously Sir John fired the staff with the exception of poor Singh -- He can't do everything! It's a huge place. {laugh]

Maybe its because there were staff at one point, but they were just "dying" off.

Gotta remember this was before Swiffer and Dirt Devils...dusting the old fashion way is a bummer. I would have at least hired a couple hot house keepers though...
