Just saw online -- worth watching
Just watched on Amazon instant. Pretty solid entertainment; good execution, solid structure. I first remember reading about this story many months ago in Rolling Stone magazine. I can only imagine how many drafts and stops and starts a project like this must have encountered along the way. The use of voice over works well in this story -- and while it's not Goodfellas, it does a nice job of setting up the world these characters lived in. The poster makes it look like it might be a goofy comedy; but the tone is darker for sure.
Some good acting throughout -- although perhaps the Brendan Butler character (Asian guy) was a little over the top. Anyone with firsthand knowledge of the real people care to chime in?
