Dont Look Now paraphrase?! (spoiler)
Let's see:
- Taking place in an old medieval european town that is famous of its canals and archaic buildings.
- It's winter, and the romantic image of the city is inverted to a more dark, gloomy picture.
- One of the main character believing that a dwarf is a children, and it causes his own death.
+1: In "In Bruges", they are making a movie, and the girl says it's Nicolas Roeg's movie's new version. Also it seems they are shooting venetian/carneval scenes.
I was astonished - mostly that i've never heard anybody pointing out these yet, while it wasn't just a subtle reference.
