if the trailer is any hint...
it looks like a total snooze fest.
"Leeches suck!"
Well then go back to watching Jackass and Step Up and leave real cinema alone.

I wouldn't see those movies if you paid me.
I've seen EVERY Stanley Kubrick movie including Killer's Kiss, and Paths of Glory is my favorite movie.
I have an autographed movie poster of The Secret of Kells.
the illusionist looks totally boring from the trailer.
"Leeches suck!"
So because you've seen every Kubrick movie that means your opinion that nobody cares about has merit?

i was responding to the claim I would like to see Jackass or Step Up. Read all the posts.
"Leeches suck!"
I did read the posts, and obviously that's true. You also cherish your copy of Transformers 2 2-Disc SE on Bluray.

This is the movie for you. Probably lots of pretty pictures and not much though required. I bet you thought Wall-E was great too!

If the movie is just an extended version of the trailer, I bet this movie isn't as interesting as Wizards or Fantastic Planet!
BTW, I tried to watch Bellvue, but it was too boring.
"Leeches suck!"
@ Otter68: Did you even see the movie before you made your asinine assumption you fu cking mongoloid? Obviously you haven't. I bet you never saw the Triplets of Belleville either. The beauty of Sylvain Chomet's films are that he is able to convey so much thematically and emotionally without having to say a word. It's obvious you're just too stupid and unrefined to realize that.

Actually it's "Insults are the arguments employed by those who are in the wrong". Any other French philosophers you want to misquote smart guy?

you're a waste of time. The trailer is BORING!
I'm not sure if I can dumb this down any more, but I'll try:
I was accused of liking movies like Step Up and Jackass, which are dumb movies.
I replied that I like movies like kubrick's and Secret of Kells to dispell that slanderous remark.
OK, is that clear enough for you?
I'm not sure I can dumb it down any more for you.
"Leeches suck!"
Probably the only time you saw Kubrick's name was on Wikipedia, right?
I was artistic adviser to Kubrick for all his movies and still have an unpublished special cut of "2001" that he made for me personally in my basement, so my opinion counts a lot more than yours.
He also told me Secret of Kells sucks.
the trailer for this movie makes it look boring. Nothing in the trailer screams: comedy, action, adventure, supsense, thriller, thought-provoking, or anything else a movie is supposed to offer: escapism. It looks like it's going to be 90 minutes of watching pretty pictures.
I await your lame insult as a reply. So far no one has pointed out what in the trailer looks very intriguing.
"Leeches suck!"
I love the fact that you've essentially said the same exact thing in all your posts in this thread. Not only that, but apparently you're so passionate about this film you keep coming back to this thread to continue talking about it. You should get out more.
"Join the army, see the world, meet interesting people - and kill 'em." - Woody Allen
still waiting for someone to explain how the trailer makes this look like an interesting film.
"Leeches suck!"
Now to be serious for just a moment (although you actually don't deserve it), you should watch some Jacques Tati films (instead of Transformers - oh no i di-int!), and maybe a bit of Fellini. They have a completetly different way of storytelling, to which this movie is, of course, an homage.
You seem quite desperate in wanting to find this movie "interesting". Don't try too hard. Maybe this just isn't the movie for you. There are others out there, you know.
Fantastic for you. Obviously, not everyone agrees.

I ain't your friend, palooka.
I've just seen the film, and it is NOT boring. Granted, not a lot happens in it. So if you're looking for a film with "comedy, action, adventure, supsense, thriller, thought-provoking" like you said in your previous post, then don't look for those things in this film (although there is a little bit of comedy in it). It is more of a character-study, and it is mostly about the relationship between an old illusionist and a young girl. And it is very very moving at the end.
shareWhat, no exploding cars every five seconds? Goodness, what a bore...

Did you really come back to this post 3 months later after leaving a moderately useful post and follow it up with an obnoxious one? I'm guessing that you forgot that you already replied and have split personalities?
