I loved the first few seasons of Dexter, but I found that it became formulaic in a way that Breaking Bad never did. Yet when it broke the formula in the later seasons, I liked it less and even skipped the final season altogether.

shareBoth excellent shows. One of the things that makes these shows so good is how detailed the settings are, almost like another character.
shareI watched the two series back to back (I’ve Seen both series before)and the writing on Breaking Bad is so much better that it made watching Dexter seem just sloppy. I still enjoyed it, but it was no where near the quality and caliber that was Breaking Bad. This is nothing against the actors, they did a wonderful job.
