Parker Posey at her best...

I have seen her in alot of movies but this one was her best performance. Saying that, the movie itself could have used a little more umph.

Who gave them the packages to deliver in France? Did her friend sleep with the French guy? If you are going to France, I would have put the address in my purse, cell phone and gave a copy to my friend, that was far fetched. It's not like you are going downtown New York, you are going to another county for God's sake.

The ending was a typical chick flick ending, it should have ended the way real life ends, her going home and getting another job. But then again who the heck wants real life.

Still pretty good flick.

I liked this movie more than I thought I would! Yes, I did not know that Parker (whom I LOVE) was capable of a drama like this, but Sister hit it!!

The film was filled with cliches, but I think since the actors were mostly very strong (especially Parker and Melville), it really convinced me and was touching.

I would like to see the director improve some of the writing and craft some of the scenes better.

P.S. Regarding Parker's friend (played by Drea): I think she had an affair with the other French guy. And the movie was trying to show irony because in the beginning, you think the friend is the one with the perfect marriage and happy life. But you learn JUST THE OPPOSITE is true. She is even more sad than Parker.

Yeah, Drea's affair is kind of inferred. She gets back to the hotel room much later than expected and apologizes to Parker's character.

Then when she's in the bathroom by herself and puts her wedding ring back on, she starts crying... presumably out of guilt or a sense of loss.

So the Paris trip, which was suppose to be a quest to help her friend, actually is a time for her to re-evaluate her marriage as well.

Trust me, the scenes got a bit confusing. I had to go back and rewind because I was pretty lost myself.
