In one part of the movie Julien mentions that he came to new york with with his girlfriend to work on a movie but she ended up cheating on him with the leading man. I am wondering if the leading man is the character which Nora slept with at the beginning. She watches a show that says he is dating his costar. I thought it was sort of funny.

Hah yeah, I had the same thought.
It would be very fateful; but then again, fate does play a large role in this movie.

I thought that also, until I realized the actor Nora slept with was dating his costar in the movie that was already showing in the theatres. Why would Julien still be in NY working on that film?...there would have been nothing more for him to do.
