I understand Nora was have a crazy anxiety attack, but I really don't understand why Julian was so upset to begin with. So what, she didn't introduce him to the guy... I thought Julian was the one who mentioned no contracts. So why did he get all butt-hurt when she didn't leach onto him in front of that guy?

Julien steps back when Nora suggests to the other guy they could meet up sometime in the summer. It's vague, but commital enough for Julien to realise Nora isn't really taking him (Julien) seriously enough to offer up time later in her summer to someone else.
He appears more apologetic later in an effort to off set Nora's guilt about her anxiety attack.

I just think it shows how hypocritical men can be. Men can do what they want with other women but then they get all jealous when the tables are turned.
shareWTF?! he didnt even say anything. he was just hurt because he admitted his feelings for her and on the first person they met she said she was available to meet that other guy during summer... this is so far from being a thing that defines men or women. And just because he was upset she broke down immediately with one of her panic attacks (or withdrawal symptoms from those anti-depressants).

I wondered if it was actually meant to be that he was insulted that she didn't introduce him to the other guy until prompted to. I mean she spoke to the other guy for quite a while and just left him standing there which I think was pretty rude.
Back in her apartment later, she says "that was incredibly rude of me" which I think fits better with the idea of the non-introduction rather than her making plans with someone else. I wouldn't call it rude to make plans with someone else.
Anyway not sure, just my take on things.
I agree. I think Julian was awkward because he didnt exactly foresee that and didnt know how to react. I think he was being a bit of a hypocrite. He didnt attach himself to her but when she showed the same he got jealous.
@LusitanWanderer I dont think she meant that all men are hypocrites, just that the ones who are are sort of protected by a culture that doesnt expect them to take their own medicine.

I thought the same thing. The scene was just awkward, and I was confused as to why Julian seemed so put off by her behavior. I could understand him being annoyed by her not intruducing him to her friend, but that could have been taken care off by Julien mentioning her behavior to her right after the fact. That scene just really annoyed me.
