Derwin and Melanie returning?

I watch sporadically since the show moved to BET (it just felt way too different) so I'm not aware. Has it been mentioned/leaked that the characters of Derwin and Melanie may return for the finale? I apologize in advance if this topic has already been discussed.

Kelly and Jason together and Melanie and Derwin together and Tasha and Rick were my favorite couples hoping Merwin returns for the series finale

They said so on the awards show a couple weeks back. Hope they didn't mean that flashback episode...

Melanie and Derwin will appear in the flesh (no flashback) on the series Finale August 5th.
