Hm interesting discovery. I don't think they were after this effect and that it is a needed one, as you can see you did not notice it in the first 14 times you watched the movie. I don't know how many scenes are in actual open waters, but i'm sure if they wanted fish it really wouldn't matter. Probably even be easier just to snap a SFX on to the picture than wait for the damn fish to position itself properly :P
