Has anybody noticed that when the Yacht is anchored off of Key West they show mountains there? Sorry but this is not the landscape of Key west. Major mistake. But I still love this movie. Seen it 20 times. Love Kate !!!!

Yes, much of the landscape bares little resemblance to Key West, since it was primarily filmed around the Whitsunday Islands of North Queensland.

I lived in The Keys in the late 1980's & early 90's. I loved it down there. It's too freekin' expensive now, but back then it was paradise.
The mountains were the first things that jump out; And some of the homes built in to the side of the mountains... Ha Ha Ha...
It was so distracting, and I was so irritated by that point, I really couldn't enjoy the movie.
I think Kate Hudson is hot... as hot as Goldie, back in the day! But at least when Goldie made a movie in Key West, it was actually IN Key West; Crisscross [1992]. A decent drama and some good acting from Goldie. I actually saw Goldie Hawn a few times, driving around town.
Ah, the good old days... the memories keep getting better no matter how bad it was...

shareI lived there in the 70's, and part of the 80's as well .. worked on a boat called the Sundance II .. a swordfish boat that docked at Ming's Seafood out on Stock Island .. Mel Fisher used to dock in the slip next to us when we were both in .. this movie was apparently filmed mostly in Australia, and some in the Bahamas, but they have filmed movies in Key West though .. i was working for awhile at the Raw Bar when the were filming the movie, "Running Scared" .. they filmed a scene at the Turtle Kraals, and they were filming part of, "Russkies" in the parking lot there also .. i only mention those two since i saw them being filmed .. yea, not too many hills on the rock, where the highest point is 10 feet .. too bad it's changed so much, and bears little resemblance to the place i once loved .. it's more like a little Miami now
