There Should Be A Revolution

They aren't going to bring the show back. If I'm not mistaken the only show Fox has ever returned to air was Family Guy and that is because they made money off it. DVD sales of that show went through the roof and fox (not capitalized on purpose) saw dollar signs. Besides, it's a cheap show to make.
They don't care about fans, they don't care about entertainment, like all businesses, all they care about is the bottom line. The almighty dollar. They have torn down so many shows and pissed off so many fans that it's seriously a wonder that they are still a working network. But they have these cheap so-called reality shows that sell their soap. So they don't have to give fans of real television a second thought. All the shows that have these groups of people trying to bring them back and post in there defense aren't coming back. What should be done is a boycott of the network. All these pissed fans from all different shows banding together to at least land a hurtful blow on fox's money making machine.

From a previous post:
At this point I wouldn't watch the final episodes if they did decide to air them. I'm not gonna help them pay their bills. I'll wait until I can download them or watch them online somehow.
I don't understand the stupidity of this. Why are people letting this network survive? They are dumbing their viewers down with so-called reality crap and teasing them with actual television. Every time they put something interesting on they kill it before it's found it's audience or just because they don't like it. Other networks are letting shows that have performed lower than half the canceled shows on fox (I didn't capitalize on purpose) run until they find an audience or at least runs it's course. Not fox, they'd rather rob us by selling all their ad space and producing cheap knockoff so-called reality. And people are letting them get away with it because they are too lazy to turn the channel. You are right they work for us, but with people just being satisfied by anything flashing on their screen, will we ever be able to do anything about it. We should fire them, cancel them, boycott this ridiculous station until they start showing TV again.
They need to stop creating new channels and do what they are supposed to be doing with the channels that exist!
There should be a group organized to take them down, or at least let fans be heard.

I'm not even GONNA watch anything on Fox again. I'm just gonna wait until they show Sarah Connor Chronicles and New Amsterdam on different channels, like I do with Simpsons.

Can we protest and bring really cool flame throwers to this revolution? that'd be fun, we could burn stuff. Wouldn't hurt anyone though. And would could play angry music and riot. What about making Signs?

Gordon:"..lighten up a little,Sammy."
Sam:"He's the only one who gets to call me that"

Sarah Connor Chronicles was doomed from the start... it has a cast member from firefly in it.. Summer Glau...

I loved firefly and the cast and every show they have been in on fox has been canceled.... Firefly, Drive, Standoff... and Sarah Connor Chronicles...

The sky is ours.

Yep, I was just thinking to myself, this is the SECOND time Nathan Fillon has been screwed by FOX.

I wish I could think of a way to combat FOX, but I only know how to fight a consumer war, not a network TV war.

There's only one thing I can think of, and it might not work, but its worth a try.

If money is all they care about, and it is, the answer is simple. Research FOX's top sponsors and hold a mass boycott until they pull thier advertising from FOX. And let them know you're boycotting them JUST because they're affiliated with FOX.

I forget which one FOX advertises more than the other, but, ikf FOX endorses Pepsi, buy Coke, and email Pepsi telling them you'll go back to them if they break with FOX and advertise on another network.

It's worth a shot, and it's all I can think of...other than telling people to lie (if they can) about watching FOX (for those of you who participate in ratings polls). But I don't like that idea, I prefer fighting fair unless your (real) life depends on it

reply

fighting fair??? these shows are rated off of Nielson boxes!!! Which are so unfair... you never know who could have one so the people with them may not watch those types of shows... and i heard DVRs dont account to the statistics...

it just seems if you went around asking people a lot of people would have said they watch the shows... yet fox says they arent gettin the ratings they want and the show cost too much to make...

You can't take the sky from me!

that could work...if there was enough fan power behind drive (and if that were the case, the show wouldn't have been canceled to begin with).

it's a nice idea, but i doubt there are a sufficient amount of fans for this show (or of the canceled shows combined, for that matter--most of the fans have moved on and/or just don't care that much anymore) to make such an idea a reality.

reply

um... Firefly had enough support by itself... but the problem is no logner fox... Joss Whedon refuses to work with them ever again for all their crap!!!

You can't take the sky from me!

reply

...

my point wasn't about whether or not firefly had support.

i don't think all of the fans from canceled FOX shows will band together to boycott FOX's endorsements. it'd be nice if they did, i'm sure. but that would require effort, of which i'm sure most people won't want to be bothered with (especially if they really like one of the products that FOX endorses).

and i commented on that first... had enough support by itself...
