I loved this show. Thought it was different and refreshing. My mom thought it had potential to but it's flaw was there were just too many ppl that it would loose it's focus.
I wish they could've made all the episodes and if they couldn't air them on tv, just release them all in DVD set. Then the actors and writers get to do the show and get paid and we get to watch it. Sell it for like $30 or heck even $25 or something since it would've been straight to dvd release. I mean come on, FNL S1 I saw for $20 so why not Drive.
Everytime something new comes along that might be good it gets pulled and we get stuck with another show like who's the next hottie that's too full of themselves. I would rather watch Drive thankyou.
It's sad that FOX won't even let show's finish their first season before cancelling them, in this case they wait 4 episodes before pulling the plug and only 6 get made? I'm sorry but that's just bad buisiness.
Any rational person knows that in TV it takes time for show's to become hits, they used to know that with classics like Seinfeld and Married With Children which were not big hits when they began but they were given a chance to build an audience, now if you're not an instant hit then you're dead.
I still want to know what happened with these characters, the race was not even close to over and there was a lot left undone. Would it absolutely kill FOX to put this out on DVD? US Itunes doesn't cut it, it's things like this that drive people to piracy, there is no other option available to get this show for most people so if FOX won't release a DVD then they better not sue anyone for pirating it
Well. the one piece of GOOD news.. with Castle entering its THIRD season.. Drive may be a more appealing option to market.. maybe not directly from the studio, they may put it off site.. to a company like Shout Factory (which would be AWESOME since they do AMAZING collections of TV shows). although.. I admit.. its not great business to want to release a SINGLE season show.. they did, finally with Action!.. so maybe there's still hope for "Drive"
