I haven't seen it but it has 0% on rotten tomatoes. Also Eddie Murphy films in general don't seem to be that popular on IMDb, 5.7 is probably about the average score for them. However no other Murphy film, not even Norbit has got a 0 on RT. Such a score is rare and I would expect a film that got 0% on RT to get less than 4 on IMDb.
shareIdk how this got a 0 on RT. I am pretty sure this is better than Norbit but will admit to never seeing it. This movie wasn't awful at all. It was pretty average. Some humorous bits were stupid but most of it was alright. Plus it actually did have meaning to this plot line. I found several parts of the movie actually very touching. I'm not sure why this would receive a 0 unless the reviewers really dislike Eddie Murphy nowadays. However I would say this is one of his better movies that has come out recently.
