I am so pleased at how this series was written, directed, and filmed. I lived through the experience of delivering DNA Victim Identification services since week 2 of the tsunami disaster in Thailand, and was at Wat Yan Yao until the end of Feb 2005. All of the sub-plots of what was going on at this time in Thailand was very well written and portrayed. The emotion of families searching for their missing loved ones, the foreign government workers not prepared to meet the needs of their citizens, the loving help and assistance that the Thai's gave to all, and the frustration of the local fishing villages being forced off their traditional lands. This film works on all levels and I want to thank HBO and BBC for doing such a good job. We are still helping these families, at wwww.thaitsunamihelp.org and you can help too... Abi; you communicated all that needed to be portrayed about how people were effected by this tragedy, I was very suspect that all of the layers of emotion could not be portrayed by a "mini-series", and you did a wonderful job. I look forward to more wonderful works from you.
