'Stuck' in my backyard

Lucky for me the movie "Stuck" is being filmed here in Saint John...pretty much on my doorstep. I got to watch some lighting rehearsal being done in our loyalist burial ground...and I caught a glimpse of Stephen Rea as he left the set.

Very cool bananas.

Didn't I see an episode of CSI that dealt with a hit-and-run with the victim stuck in the windshield and left in the garage?

reply

Yes, they did shoot an episode based on this story.

I go to St.Macs and every day at lunch we pass that line of trailers in front of the imperial. I was in my car too, in the north end and they were filming by the 'Rifle Range' It was arounf 9:00 and they had these huge lights up on this small little street. I stopped to talk to a few people there. It was awsome. ^_^ can't wait to see it in theaters.

Yeah It's being filmed a street down from my house, it was supposed to be my street. I also go to STM and see the trailers every morning on my way to school.

I only caught a quick glimpse of the lighting rehersal like you said in the burial grounds like you, only I didn't pay much attention for some strange reason.... Stephen Rea is one of my favorite actors! Knowing me, I'd have impailed myself on decorative fensing in order to meet him! Haha.... Alas, my idiocy prevails once again. I do however know personally the woman in charge of costumes and whatnot. She said she got to wash Stephen's clothes! @o@

Didn't something like that happen in real life? I dunno but I remember somewhere hearing a story about some women leaving somebody on their windshield and just waiting for them to die.

See the the thread on this board titled, "True Story".

And yes, it is harsh (replying to the next Poster's comment), but the true story was worse than any film could possibly depict!

See what a difficult situation you've created. Proud of yourself now are you?

Saw "Stuck" yesterday during the "Fantasy Film Festival" in Frankfurt/Germany. Lovely location, Saint John is. Didn't realize that it was in Canada, until I read the credits.

Movie was very entertaining, yet decidedly bizarre. Understand that Stephen Rea's clothing required lots of washing.... ;-)

Altogether, it was very good acting (by Rea and by Suvari and also and in particular by Russell Hornsby and Rukiya Bernard). And I do not want to leave unmentioned that Mena Suvari has maintained her adorably good figure. What would have said Lester Burnham, had he still been alive..... ;-)

apparently she worked out at the goodlife while she was here...heard some stories of her walking around the locker room naked....ahhh to be the fly.

Yeah, that is cool. :) I'm in Saint John too. My theatre teacher, Tim Turnell, was actually the body double for the guy stuck in the windshield. He started out as the stand-in, then moved up to body double. Pretty neat, huh? :D
