Mena Suvari is great in this movie

After watching the movie I get into Chante Mallard story and I've to say that, considering that is a fictional inspired by the real facts, Mena Suvari did a great job creating her role.
The stupid expression of Mallard are recreated excellently by Mena.
The stupid reasons for this murder are also recreated in a magnificent way by Stuart Gordon.
The bizarre situations concerning this crime can't happens so frequently, so to treat them in a satirical way is more than appropriate, in order to avoid stupid racist considerations.
On the other hand, the way Brandi Boski died is by far better than stay around 25 years, at least, in prison as it will be this Mallard person.

I read about the original case upon which this film was based elsewhere. Chante Mallard was sentenced to 50 years imprisonment for killing a 37 year-old pedestrian. She also implicated more than one person in what was in reality a homicide. Mena Suvari is ordinarily a capable actress but nobody can believe that she is really playing a black person with her very blue caucasian eyes which the make-up people didn't alter with brown contact lenses. That's typical of a low budget, careless production.
Incidentally, Chante Mallard was an ex-nurses aide when she killed this pedestrian. She wasn't burned to death at all. There are some similarities in this film to what really happened or what some people think happened. The sex scenes were gratuitous and all of the violence was overdone as usual in this type of film. If Mena Suvari wants to build her career she really ought to avoid cheap projects like this one in the future.
