Mexican Family

Seriously? The Mexican illegals refuse to help the guy in the morning out of fear of being deported, but 12 hours later, they're right there helping him walk down the driveway. What happened in the intervening time period? Did they get their citizenship or something?

Makes me want to beat the Mexican father over the head a couple of times ...

I was thinking, why couldn't they have just told a neighbor to call and have the neighbor report it and pretend the neighbor saw it. Hands off.

'Thank you, you can go do your little dance in Hell now.'

I live in Canada.. doesnt the USA have crime stoppers??? anonymous tips and they dont trace the calls, or so they say.

Yea, we do. But I doubt the illegal family would've known that. If they haven't been there long, plus they might be too paranoid to believe it.

The Spanish speaking family in the film weren't identified specifically as being Mexicans. They could have been from anywhere south of the border. In any event they were depicted in a negative, stereotypically racist context, except for their little boy who wanted to help Mr. Bardo.

it was dumb that they wouldn't call for help but then ran out to help him when they saw the fire.
