This movie probably would have done better if they were more faithful to

the book. Back when I first found out about this movie I bought the book two days later and I really did enjoy it. It had a lot more details and Ferris wen't though a lot more to capture Solomon (in the movie it's Al Saleem). Another thing everybody on the board was clearly looking forward two was the relationship Ferris had with a blonde American girl named Alice during the time of his divorce to his wife Gretchen being played out on screen but when they shown a screening for the movie in April people kept coming on this board saying that Gretchen was no where in the movie at all and Alice had been replaced by a nurse named Aisha. When I finally saw the movie I couldn't help but laugh when the credits said "based on the book". Trust me, the only thing they kept in the movie that was from the book was a few names, them trying to catch a terrorist, and being set in the middle east. Everything else was changed completely. I don't get why Hollywood always wants to go in and change everything when they are making a book into a movie. If people has read the book then they want to go see their imagination come to life. Not some screenwriter or director going "OK were going to make a movie from this book but instead of this lets do this and take out this character and change this person's name etc.". The book was a lot better and made more sense than what the movie did. The movie just looked like they wanted to do a lazier version of the book itself.
