The 13th anniversary.
It's a little too slick looking for my taste (though other times dark and unfocused with a forgettable musical score), but it's still probably the most straightforwardly entertaining of the bunch next to Part VI. It's just better paced than most and has some awesome sequences.
-The best prologue of the series.
-Brutal, drawn-out kills. Perhaps inspired by Saw and Hostel?
-The most shamelessly sex obsessed of the series.
-The Bree character: Her dance, sex scene and endless death - all wonderfully politically incorrect.
-When the lights go out and Jason is trying to draw them out of the cabin is one of my favorite sequences of the series.
-The Whitney subplot is something we're never seen before in this series. For me, it works because they don't push it.
