A couple of things I got from the last episode.

1. We didn't get to see Buddy's head explode when Coach Taylor told him he wasn't going to take the SUPERTEAM gig.

2. When Luke leaves to join the Army he is wearing his uniform when he gets on the bus and kisses Becky goodbye. I know only about he US Navy but I'm pretty sure that the Army issues uniforms the first couple of days of boot camp. I know I arrived in San Diego for Basic in Civilian clothes.

Could be JROTC uniforms. Either way I thought the ending was one of the best. It makes you wonder "where are they now", even for fictional people.

Not an ROTC uniform. His patch was 1st Cav. I assumed that at some point after the game and the "8 months later" montage that he'd done boot camp, come home, and was on his way to his first real duty station with 1st Cav. 8 months is long enough, depending on his MOS.
