...follow their old High School football team?

I played when I was in the old town. I have since moved across country but still follow the local limited edition newspaper there. At my age it's good to look back over the years from afar. Also, the obits are of interest. Have been for years.

I graduated from that school in 1979 and played football in '77' and 78.The town and school were about the size as Dillon (except in Nebraska). Our team was more like "That '70's Show" than FNL. It was the late 1970s! Needless to say we weren't very good.

Watching FNL makes me want to give my old team some attention even today.

Anybody else follow their old school High/College teams?

Still nobody but me? One would figure there would be some "old school" football fans out there. Maybe it really is just me.

Good news. My (from 39 years ago) old High School team has move to 5-1!!! Even defeating 3 Omaha teams. Back in my day that was unheard of as we weren't big enough to play even smaller Omaha schools.

Good for them. Let's make the playoffs again guys!!!

Sorry to say the boys lost their last home game to another regional contender but still managed to advance. Their schedule will be out later this week.

That team is in Nebraska where they (just like Texas) take their HS Football very seriously.

I currently live in Nevada where the team here in Reno where the regional team is just now getting ready to go get their butts kicked by Bishop Gorman who is almost always in the top 5 nationally located down in "Last Wages".

Finally, it also depends on when the school year starts. When I was stationed in Hawaii my kids started the school year in July. Way before Labor day.

Well my old High School team finally went down in their 1st playoff game as badly as the Nebraska Cornhuskers did at Ohio State this past weekend. It just wasn't their year. Maybe next year. One can only hope I guess.
