Valentine
I alternatively loved and hated this movie. My biggest issue was the Valentine storyline. I couldn't believe that anyone who has spent time around dogs (such as at a public dog park) would adopt a German Shepard with behavioral problems without hesitation, and then bring it home and treat it the same way you treated your little beagle. I would have been scared to death of Valentine. I might have adopted him regardless, but I would have asked a ton of questions, and I would have been very clear about what I should and shouldn't do, how to train him, etc. And if he snapped at my hand when I approached him while he was eating on the first day I had him, I would think Hmm ... maybe he's guarding his food. And if he then BIT my hand when the same thing happened again, I would *definitely* know that something was up. I feel that this was a weak plot element. I just didn't think it rang true to what someone like Peggy would do. She was an irresponsible owner when it came to Valentine, and I just didn't buy that she would do that.
