Couldn't he just bring down Latnok and then they could wrap it up? I know it would have felt a bit rushed, but this is just annoying. I know they were hoping for a final season after this one, but ending a series this way is just not acceptable.
Agree 100%. Just finished re-watching this show (I watched on air and I've since watched it twice on Netflix and Hulu)...ugh!

I feel very peed off.
Talk about penny-pinching studios! When I spend the $ for a complete series, I expect a proper ending. This is obviously part one of a two part ending, it could have closed out fine with just one more episode.
Now watch the studio's P and moan about pirates "stealing" by downloading. I don't spend the money for a theater ticket and walk out 15 minutes before the end either.
The people that spent the money for the DVD's (as I did) are the ones that got ripped off this time.

Well to be fair, most folks assume that you already watched the show and wanted the DVD for your personal collection. ;) The lack of closure DID suck though.

They completed filming BEFORE the network told them they were canceled. The open end was supposed to lead to the story line in season 4 (they had basically been told they were getting a 4th season by the network, so they spread out the storyline and planned for the cliffhanger). But after filming completed they were told the network was going to focus on different programming and were killing the show. The studio/network wouldn't let them go back and refilm the ending, to close the holes, even though they had enough time they could have done it.
