new year's eve

neat how the first years of family guy includes a new year's eve episode, entertainment on the new year theme is not exactly as easy to access as christmas bits, this was featured as the first episode on the first family guy christmas dvd release, the later christmas releases, well over a decade later, at least from what i've come across, instead have christmas specials of seth's others animated series and one including a family guy thanksgiving episode, funny how meg already here is going on about kevin, and this has to be the first, at least one of the earliest chicken fights, at first it looks to be a brief one but it just kept on, also, using real footage with real actors might be a first too, the actor playing bobby really ends the episode funny, another highlight is the redneck abducted by aliens, some of the lines seem dated like peter saying "bite me", can you imagine him saying that today, that is something i keep hearing in 1990's entertainment like "wayne's world" or "married with children", i can't believe this series has been on since 1999, actually this is season 2 and yet from 1999, so i guess family guy is over two decades old already, this episode celebrates the new year's eve of 2000 and a fear of computers that will stop working, it was pretty unusual watching a disaster not caused by peter, the new year's celebration quickly turns into a whole other story though, so even finding entertainment with a new year's theme ends up not revolving much around it, when i bought the christmas dvd this episode came as a surprise as i didn't really pay attention before that family guy actually has an episode celebrating new year's eve. let me find a corner to myself,
cant continue playing this charade,
you go on with your business,
two different realities we live in,
my path is dark and cold,
and i have to be on my own,
cant socialise,
and pretend things are alright.
