If a Na'vi, let's use: Neytiri as our example... If Neytiri were to have a Human Avatar created using the opposite process used for creating Na'vi Avatars... Would Neytiri's Human Avatar come out looking like Zoe Saldana?
I mean, all Na'vi are blue, but Human's come in a wide variety of pigments. It's not like Neytiri is a darker shade of blue then Jake's Avatar body, so besides the fact that her actor is essentially "African America", what would make her Human Avatar resort to such a pigment rather then just coming off as another Caucasian human?
Huh. Interesting question. I would assume their facial features would be slightly angular, bodies relatively tall, eyes almost large, and black hair. I believe their skin would be slightly dark with maybe some markings, but I don't have much evidence other than tribal communities tend to be dark-skinned for some reason (Native Americans, Africans, etc). Nothing against them, of course, I find tribal cultures intriguing.
Something like that. Almost forgot about the four fingers/toes thing. I thought of it, but forgot to add it.
But then again, aren't the normal Avatars a mixture of human and Na'vi to begin with? Like how would they become more human, just genetically engineering?
Maybe they would need partial DNA of a Human, and would come out looking like a "Child" of the Human DNA donor.
I think I remember the Na'vi avatars needed Na'vi DNA, so, maybe they come off as children of whatever Na'vi DNA they were originally taken from. with the human qualities.
I think this would be a worthwhile plot for one of the movies... I mean, Jake transferred his conscious into his Avatar at the end of the movie, right? But what if one of the movies involves Neytiri going to Earth.
James Cameron, if you come across this thread... Think about it.
If I remember correctly, the normal Avatars were a mixture of Na'vi and human DNA. There would probably still be a way to tweak the genes to make them appear more human.
It's an interesting idea, but I'm not sure if it will be implemented. We can dream...
