Did Caspian ever acknowledge Peter's authority over him?



I'm not sure if he did it in an obvious way, but should we assume it since Peter battled the other King and not Caspian?

no, you shouldn't assume it ... in the book there's not conflict between the two. Peter tells Caspian, "I'm not here to take your place, you know, but to put you in it." And Caspian shows Peter and his siblings nothing but respect as the Kings and Queens of Old.
