I don't know. I guess it's hard to say for sure.
I think it would suck to go from being king in a fantasy land to being a school boy again. It wouldn't just be the age difference but also the status, so to say.
I actually really liked that was added to Peter's character. Since Edmund resolved his issues in the last movie it was good that some other internal strugles where added.
