we own the night or pride and glory?

I put up a similar post on the Pride & Glory page but no one responded. Anyone here feel like answering. I'm just curious.

I personally liked We Own the Night A LOT better than Pride & Glory!

If this movie is as good as Pride & Glory it must be incredible. I know everyone loves to bash P & G, and Colin Farrell (as I did before he learned how to discard that raised eyebrow look of confusion and act - starting with in Bruges). But Pride & Glory was even more real than reality. What I mean is, it showed what was both going on behind the view of the public eye as well as what goes on in the hearts and imaginations of the frustrated and angry New York Police. I hope this movie comes to cable soon, because Pride and Glory (and In Bruges) are 2 of the coolest movies that HBO has aired in quite some time. Thanks for the lead, loveofmovies.

I felt they were both movies that have been done many times before and didn't really bring anything new to the table, however I would have to say I did perfer We Own The Night. Maybe I will have to watch Pride and Glory again but I felt like it was hard to watch, maybe it was the editing? I really can't put my finger on it. It wasn't the content or anything. I also thought it could have developed things a lot more, characters and story wise. I really didn't find myself caring about any of them. We Own The Night for me really could have been a much better film, I had a good feeling when I rented it however was slightly dissapointed. I still liked the film I just went in expecting a really good crime story. I think what really bothered me was how underdeveloped the villians were. There were things that could have connected more to make it a lot more intriging with what was happening.
