The nightlife/club scene in New York City looked like it was so much fun back then (they were smoking indoors!). I feel that's a part of New York I'd miss out on if I were to ever go there.
shareYes, nightlife is pretty commercial here now. I was lucky to catch last drops of it in late 90s early 2000s.
It's coming back slightly, but in Brooklyn and outer boroughs. And not in the same way.
