I've been watching a number of his movies recently(two lovers, Walk the line, we own the night) and the dude is a phenomenal actor. Can totaly carry any film, has charisma, a dark side to him, and can convey a lot without saying a lot. I know he's a headcase, but that just makes him all the more interesting. We need more Joaquins and less Will Smiths.
shareCouldn't agree more, especially the Will Smith part. This movie was hard to get through due to Wahlberg's tough guy attitude and the crazy plot arch, and I think Phoenix made it as good as it could get in spite of the negatives.

Yeah, I'm not a big Mark Wahlberg fan. I do like some of his movies: Boogie Nights, The Departed, Th Fighter and Ted. He gave terrific performances in those movies, but other than that, don't really care for the guy. I hear he's a dick too, so I don't like him personally. Joaquin is miles better than Wahlberg both as an actor and a person.
