Too dismal
These guys are the good guys--yet they live life completely miserably--even cops, soldiers etc joke around and have a good time. This was depressing, I felt like it was mostly just the director projecting his coke comedown depression onto us. The best film makers mix the horror of life with the absurd hilarity of it.
