I thought the 'bathing in blood' scene was hilarious!!!
Really they must have had a riot doing that one.

shareDon't agree with you, but we all are entitled to our opinions. Just wonder what you really found hilarious, what made it comical.
shareI hope you don't think I'm a sociopath/psychopath who gets off on sick *beep* like this. Because I certainly did NOT get an erection watching that scene.
sharehow fake it looked just like the first one I thought it sucked. it was not gross or scary. It was dumb and I cannot believe that this is what people find one of the sickest movies.
sharei thought that was the dumbest scene in the movie...the rest is sweet tho, i havent seen it in awhile just bought it last night tho
sharePersonally I thought I was going to get sick at that part. I'm sure the fact that I was eating while watching that scene and I'm always kind of squimish to watch someones throat get slit. In a way watching someone get their throat get slit is like one guy watching another guy getting kicked in the balls or something, I actually cringe and hold onto my neck. I think this one is better than the first was, they seemed to take the gore up a notch.
sharei thought it was hilarious because of how rubbish it was
shareIt was kind of funny that they alluded to Bathory...its been done in movies before and is in about 1000 metal songs.
It came off as cheap and easy. I mean who hasnt heard that story?
I get the feeling that that scene is a homage to Elizabeth Bathory or at least the myth of her bathing in a woman's blood.
If homosexuality is a disease, can I call into work "gay?"
I thought the very same thing. This scene had little effect on me though. In fact the film was quite tame, i though. Except for...well the dogs...and the guys...you know... Made me cringe a little.
Wherever, whatever, have a nice day...
I thought the same about Bathory, the film being set in Eastern Europe and Bathory was Hungarian i think
shareI had a few thoughts while I was watching that scene. The first was that Heather Whatzhername must have really thin blood and could use a platelet transfusion. Another was that they definitely didn't use Karo for that scene, but instead some sort of red water. I then wondered whether or not the actress had a similar experience to Margaret Hamilton, who took weeks to get the green makeup out of her skin when she played the witch in The Wizard of Oz. Then, I though about the taste of copper for some reason. The scene had no affect on me whatsoever. Maybe because I've seen too many horror movies and I'm immune to being grossed out, or simply because the effects just weren't that good.
"She's, like, a biscuit older than me..."
a lot of people think that this scene was dumb or unnecessary, but i think its great. It really sets the tone of how helpless the girls really are and also how unflinchingly evil and remorseless the "hunters" are... plus the violence is shocking and the terror seems more real...
but i am a huge fan of this movie in general so im biased

i thought it was disturbing and the client made me angry as hell..very gross scene, the crying of the girl would, to me, omit any sort of comical feelings
shareCall me a sociopath but I found myself strangely aroused by that scene.
shareWell, I was kinda aroused too.

Really they must have had a riot doing that one.To my surprise, I have to agree with you. That scene was awesome and hillarious. After a hard day of work, she was just very tired and asked for a "Calgon, take me away" bath...like the old commercials.
I did not find the bathing scene funny at all. When she was hanging upside down and crying, I had to reaction to my face. Then when that lady pulls out a scythe and played with Lorna's neck with it, my eyes opened wide and once she cut her neck and the blood sprayed everywhere my jaw dropped. It was a horrible scene but very well done.
shareThat scene was very telling. The client was obviously a vampire. She loooked like one, was remorseless like one, and enjoyed drinking and immersing herself in the blood of an innocent victim/sacrifice like one. Not to mention the ritual-like candles and the scythe, which ties to the occult as well. Good scene. Hard to watch, but very telling.
shareShe was a middle aged(or close to that) rich woman who probably believed or wanted to try that or if the blood from a young virgin can keep her youth. See the Elizabeth Bathory myth by Google and you can get the parallel.

She should have screamed out "I have AIDS". It was disturbing, but then what passes for horror today is pretty disturbing.
