The movie is very scary. However, Axelle's head in the final scene just looks very fake.

Also, the actress, who plays Beth, is really BAD ASS!

It's satisfying to see her castrate the sick bastard :)

I wouldn't want to see the castration scene look any more realistic than it did, lol...

Oh, no, the castration scene is graphic enough. The scene where Axelle's head got cut off looks really fake though. The head does not look realistic at all.

Oh, totally! Not sure what an actual decapitation looks like, but I'm pretty sure that's not it. I hate that it went out with a lame effect like that, because I thought most of the other effects in the movie were fairly convincing. Like the part where the guy with the saw accidentally...well, you know. You could tell they put a lot more thought into that.

How the hell do movies like this NOT get NC17 ratings? Whats the point of such a rating existing if its never used? Its only used for nudity or sex? What about protecting children from being traumatized? This movie and others on a similar level of horror would traumatize a child more than X rated porn which would just gross them out.

The MPAA hates women cumming on screen, not women bleeding to death on screen. While it's horrible that they object to the former, it doesn't make it wrong that they shrug off the latter.

No one going into Hostel: Part II is going to be surprised by the violence. It is exactly what the box advertises. The movie was not made or marketed to children. The hypothetical effect on children is irrelevant.

Fake but worth it. I love the ending.
