Goodness gracious, did this movie suck or, like, what?!?
Incredibly hammy acting, the "cute" kid crutch, an ending that I frankly couldn't figure out but - even more importantly - didn't want to even bother to figure out (in other words, I couldn't care less).
Ya know, expensive and, yes, impressive special effects does not a movie make.

Geez, I think I explain it pretty well.
Is English your first language? Can you even read?
That's it, I'm outta here. Feel free to argue with surfingthechaos.
you're an idiot that doesnt know how to appreciate true film making genius. and referencing the catholic church only makes you a even bigger idiot that doesnt know what the catholic church represents. Do the world a favor and go crawl back into your hole.
I love it! Your reply, so full of hate and ignorance, was written on Christmas day which, as I'm sure you know, is the 2nd holiest day on the Christian calendar. The first is Easter. That's when that guy comes out of the ground and - if he sees his shadow - we're in for another six weeks of winter. (Hey, you've been a wonderful audience! Try the veal! And don't forget your waiters and waitresses!)
Anyhoo, I know plenty about the Catholic church, having been a member since shortly after my birth up until the time I realized I could actually think for myself.
The Catholic church was founded for the sole purpose of controlling people. It tells you what to do and when to do it. More accurately, it tells you what not to do.
As my parish priest used to say: "We can't prove there's a god/God, but if you do this and you don't do that, you get into heaven. But if you disobey us, it ain't going to be pretty. Oh, by the way, we are the only true 'religion' and all those other guys are condemned to rot in hell for eternity. And try the veal!"
So, enjoy your little fantasy world. I'm off to my hole.
"If Christians want us to believe in a Redeemer, let them act redeemed." Voltaire
Do they know about a nation called China in that hole you are in?
As a practicing humanist and a non-practicing existentialist, I have to say, your assumption that this film had Christian ties is very elitist and ethnocentric... many people in China could care less about the Catholic Church or Christian values.
