Pro-choice/Pro-life.. Whatever, it was a good movie!
*possible spoilers*
I must say I really enjoyed this movie. I'm a huge fan of Angelica Lee and she's always played every part well. This is my favourite of her movies though, purely because of how incredibly surreal, magical and beautiful it is.
The unfair 'horror' tag this film gets doesn't do it any favours though as I imagine people looking for the next Grudge will be slightly put off. If anything it reminded me of Pans Labyrinth and Spirited Away somewhat. I thought the acting was sublime and story flowed nicely.
People slamming the abortion topic need to understand that it wasn't the basis for the film it was just a device. I'm pretty much neutral when it comes to pro-life/pro-choice but far too many people assume that the Chinese follow Catholic ideals when really they couldn't care less.
Overall though a visually stunning movie. 9/10
'..Well in that case it looks like it tastes great.'
