Harder to shoot in Vegas now?

Is it harder to make a movie in Vegas now than it was back in the day? I noticed the scene with Danny and Rusty talking in front of the Bellagio water fountain just by themselves talking and I know that at that time of the day there is at least a horde of people walking up and down that part of the strip. So you know that had to at least block off that section for a good hour. Along with the Ocean's movies, Rounders, 21, etc., is Vegas is more welcoming now to Hollywood or are they inflating prices even more for filmmakers? Do they offer tax breaks for studios?

They are making films in Vegas all the time, just look at the latest Hangover movie. You can shoot very early in the morning when there are very few people about and the sun is out.

Since the first Oceans' films, here are just a few movies that were filmed mostly or partly in Vegas: The Cooler, Lucky You, 21, Next, What Happens in Vegas, The Hangover, Now You See Me, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, The Hangover 3, Last Vegas.

To answer your question: No.

You are referring to one scene, but most movies filmed in Vegas show crowds around the actors. Yes, they had to block off the Bellagio for that scene, but it appears to have been filmed a dawn, so I'm sure the crowds were limited.
