You think Bernie Mac Death.


Has to do with the cast and the directors unwillingness to make anymore sequels.

Actually, I'm pretty sure I read Clooney or Soderberg or Jerry Weintraub specifically saying that there won't be an Ocean's 14 because of Bernie Mac's untimely passing.

And I have no doubt that if Bernie was still alive that the movie would be in active development; he passed away just a year after it came out, while the film had just started playing on HBO.

Furthermore, with an awesome cast, a slick caper, and a high-concept plot, a movie can still be successful in the age of comic book films. (Furious 7, Mission Impossible Rogue Nation, Mad Max, The Martian are all examples of non-comic book films that are fun, well made, and well casted.)

I know frank probably would have had to be written out but i guess the film would have felt incomplete without him.
