How are these guys not in jail?

They pulled the first job in Vegas. Then another in Europe. Here they are again in Vegas to pull off another grand theft. These guys are committing very high profile robberies with a lot of people involved. How have they not been caught? Benedict obviously knows they're guilty. He has enough money and connections to hire investigators. The cops and FBI surely know. Yet, here they are walking around as free as you and me. How is it possible that no one has investigated and arrested them? It strains credulity.

He wanted to settle the score personally. Then when they paid him back they were even.

Everyone in Vegas and Europe shook Sinatra's hand

Their capers also get buried by Linus' parents. He's a senior FBI agent who works the Vegas area and his mother works in Interpol.

At least that's what people are meant to think. His dad is a con artist as well. Linus spends half the movie trying to convince him the Brodie played.

And interestingly enough, Linus was talking about the Brodie before he even knew he'd use it to be Yen's communicator, Lenny Pepperidge.

We lost Bowie, Glenn Frey, Prince, & George Michael. And Bieber's alive. 2016 SUCKED!

Yes, but (in these movies) his father really is a senior FBI agent, and his mother really does work at Interpol. That part isn't a ruse. Linus said early in this film that his father has the greatest cover of all time.

They pulled an OJ Simpson.

That's the line! I knew it was buried in there somewhere, and always thought it was logical that "lovable scoundrels" would have their own people planted in law enforcement. It also explains why Linus is so desperate to make his own way; his parents are law enforcement (and con artists), so he becomes a street-level con artist.

Plus, I don't think either Ocean's 12 or 13 showed calls to the police being intercepted and faked, so Linus's parents would have to be real law enforcement (within the rules these movies set forth - every fake-out is later revealed to the audience).
