His PARTNER had better moves.

Steven Seagal used to make some awesome hardcore action/martial arts movies. His Aikijutsu and Kung Fu looked beautiful and devastating. It inspired me to go in that direction and train.

What I liked most about his early films was the creativity he showed through his style(s). These were high-level techniques he was demonstrating(if you know how to look at it the right way). When he would break an arm or a leg, do joint locks, he would show the pressure points that weaken the limb to break it with ease. He also has good hands. This was what impressed me.

With every Seagal release, I keep watching for the high-level stuff that I respect him for. But the action gets less and less, the fights are beyond basic, he uses lead instead of his hands. And who wants to see him fight in slow-motion sequences? Do you? I mean, what's more distracting than that? Well, maybe his dubbed-in voice, but I can look past that.

On the EXZZYT WOUNDZZZ special feature, he was basically putting down the choreographer for wanting him to do a move that required wires to hold him up. He said that he didn't like to do stuff like that, because it wasn't realistic, yet he shoots a bullet right down the center of an arrow in Belly of the Beast?

Like I said, I keep watching his movies to see good, realistic fights, and there actually was one I was impressed with! His PARTNER that looks like Tom Sizemore, stole the whole fu(king show. Just before he died, one of the CTX junkies pulled a gun on him, which Sizemore seized and made him cap a fellow junkie. He then used a joint lock to turn the junkie's gun on himself, and blew his world to sh_it.

That's it. That's what I liked about this movie.

The thing I couldn't stand is the lame Wolverine blades that were created for Seagal at a moment's notice. All they had to do was give him a knife or two. He could have done more with a knife than those Predator blades. People getting up w/o a scratch after being tossed through 3 walls? Wow. I wish I could do that!

I KNOW Seagal can be creative. He hasn't even begun to exhaust his creativity in his fight scenes. I don't know what the man's problem is, but someone needs to light a fire under his ass, because he seems bored and lazy.

Yeah I thought his partner did the better acting, too. Seagal seems very uninspired and, perhaps, unmotivated due to that mafia-extortion thing that he went through awhile back. After experiencing something like that, I'd assume most people would keep away from acting altogether, but a man's still got to make a buck, yeah?

Extorted by the Mafia? Damn. Which one?

Was it the Russian mob from Glimmer Man? The Mexican and Jamaican mob from Marked for Death? The Italians from Out for Justice? The Yakuza from Into the Sun? Or the Triads from Out for a Kill?

No actually it was the real ones that when they kill you, you don't come back to make shoddy straight-to-DVD B-Grade movies.
