I really enjoyed Attack Force........GOOD FILM

After reading all the negative comments on this site, I was expecting Attack Force to be a real stinker, but it's obvious now that the only opinion that matters is your own, because I liked Attack Force.
This is a very different style of film for Seagal. The film has a dark, almost gothic look and the entire cast wear black, in fact the movie has a slight Blade/Underworld tone going on but without vampires or werewolves.
The villians in this film are murderous drug addicts, hooked on a military experimental drug that was stolen by its designer and released as a party drug on the streets of France.
The drug called CTX was originally created for use on soldiers. A kind of super strength boost, but with horrible side effects.
But now, the drug is on the streets of France and hardcore addicts have a tendency to slice and dice innocent people in fits of super human rage.
Commander Marshall Lawson(Seagal) and his strike team show up in France on a top secret mission, but three of his team men are slaughtered by a CTX addicted prostitute shortly after they arrive. Now Marshall wants answers but even the military have closed him out, in an attempt to cover their arse.
The bodycount rises as more innocent people are slashed open by the mysterious CTX crazed, blood lust, super strength minions.
Marshall teams up with the beautiful bio-chemist Tia, who refuses to turn to the darkside when offered by her CTX co-creator.
She helps Marshall and his new strike team fight a military kill squad, sent to silence Marshall and his men, for getting to close to the truth.
Since the military can't stop Marshall, they have no choice but to join forces in a final desperate attack on the main CTX hideout, but at the last second the military back out, leaving Marshall and Tia and the strike team on their own in the small town of Bastia where the CTX Queen and her minion addicts are hiding out.
However the strike team arrives too late to stop the crazy second in command CTX boss from polluting the city water supply with CTX, so everyone within a 100 mile radius will be poisoned by the drug.
However, the final battle begins in the CTX secret hideout, a cathedral.
Marshall goes one on one with the sexy CTX Queen, bringing 90 entertaining minutes to a close.

I understand what you're saying...

A lot of the recent Seagal films have similar themes where it's dark and involving drugs. I still remember Out for A Kill, which had a noir slash gangster feel. They definitely try to make each Seagal movie unique, and I will applaud them for that. There's a lot of high-tech, biological weaponry, and futuristic aspects which all contribute to the new movies. Then, as usual, drugs and crime play a large role in most of them. Overall, the film-making techniques lately have at least made them look pretty cool.

i liked this one a lot better than the last one shadowman. i guess i want the old seagal back,, hard to kill, black dawn, what he needs to do is get out of the trap he's in the direct to dvd market, he puts out it seems like 7-10 movies a year. Now i'm a fan and i love his work,, but i think he'd be better off cutting that in half and producing more quality films than quantity.
works for me
